What did you and your partner learn about the first Thanksgiving celebration?

0. Mrs. Davis: Foods that the Pilgrims and Wampanoag Indians ate at the first Thanksgiving in 1621 included venison and wild fowl. They may have eaten lobster, seal, and swan.

1. Carson and Thomas: we learned that the pilgrims had much to be thankful for

2. Kate and Andrea: the pilgrins arrrived in the new world during the winter, makeing it very difficalt for them to find food and build shelter. also during winter, the Wampanoag depended on wild game such as rabbit, squrril, turkey, and deer.

3. Olivia & Sophie: Most Pilgram children do not go to school, either they dont learn or somtimes their parents teach them reading, & writing.

4. Megan and Lauren: In the first winter the Pilgrims slept on the May Flower.

5. Bianca & Claire: I learned the Venison was a gift from the Wampanoag to the pilgrims. Sqanto was not originaly an Wampanoag indian.

6. Nate and Landry: After thanksgiving they did not have any food.

7. Anika and Gus: Some of the things that the Pilgrims had on their menu were cod, eel, partridge, eagles, venison, and seal.

8. Nick and Josh: i learned that pilgrims dont wear bulkle hats & bukles on there clothes too.

9. Emma and Caroline: The Pilgrims didn't use forks, they used knifes, spoons and their fingers.

10. Nick P. & Palladio: the pilgrims discovered a land where the king didn't rule

11. Katie: She was in Florida today and didn't get to research :(

12. Bella and Dorian: The 1620 voyage from England to America was over 3,000 miles and was full of stormy waters.

13. Luke: They came to America on a ship named the Mayflower.

14. Mayar: back in the old days thanksgiving used to be called turkey day.

15. Merritt and Dane: We learnd most of the pilgrims died of the weather in the boat
